This brewery is located in Sakawa, Kochi Prefecture. It was founded in 1918. However, the origin is far older. It has more than 400 years history. After Tokugawa had unified Japan, a new feudal lord came to Kochi. The founder of this brewery was one of the specialists who came with him. The name of “Senchu Hassaku” comes from Ryoma Sakamoto, who is one of the most famous persons in Japan. He played an important roll that founded modern Japan. His hometown is Kochi. “Senchu Hassaku” is the name of the political articles that he wrote. It is famous that the taste of Kochi Japanese Sake is dry and sharp. This bottle represents well the characteristics. And, it is summer limited bottle. It chills your hot body in summer.
