Hanagaki, Hiyaoroshi, Junmai-Shu 60, (Nambu Shuzojo Co., Ltd.)

Tasting Comment

You feel the flavor of pear. When you drop it in your mouth, the fresh acidity and Umami spread in your mouth. What is impressing is the mild and smooth texture. Taste is pure. The finish is the well-round sweetness. Hiyaoroshi is a bottle that was brewed in winter and matured during summer, then released in Autumn. It still has the freshness of Nama-Zake, but the tastes are matured. This bottle represents the charms of Hiyaorishi very well.

The tips of this Ippon

Their brand, “Hanagaki,” is named after Cherry blossom with full bloom. The branches with full blooms overlap each other. This is like a flower henge. “Hana” means a flower. In this case, Cherry blossom. “Gaki” means a hedge. So, brand name represents it. The taste is really close to their image. The image of Cherry blossom, Japanese national flower, is elegant and beautiful. But, it also has the meaning of the innocence and the mildness. The texture is bottle is really mild and smooth. And, you also feel the elegance and the pureness in it. I tried their best bottle with my family on a New Year Day. Everyone said it was really elegant and too easy to drink. They did not feel any unnecessary tastes. It is recently that the brewery comes to be under spot light. It is better you should try at once.
