This brewery is located in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Yamaguchi Prefecture is famous as the hometown of many high level Japanese Sake breweries. This brewery was founded in 1877. They brewed high quality Japanese Sake and pushed up their Japanese Sake to the top level in Yamaguchi Prefecture. World War Ⅱ changed everything. It became hard for them to acquire rice. It hurt their business and they had been facing bankruptcy. 5th owner is a father of “GANGI”. He made a lot of tries and errors. He finally brewed Japanese Sake that he could be proud of the tastes. It is “GANGI.” At first, “GANGI” was produced only 600 bottles. He distributed the bottles only who admitted the quality. His effort made a success. “GANGI” became one of the most famous brands in Japanese Sake world. “Mizunowa” is the mixed word of the circle and soft water.
